Buyer/Mfg Support Specialist
Aries Chemical is searching for an individual for its Buyer/Mfg Support Specialist position. The Buyer/Mfg. Support Specialist position is responsible for managing vender relationships through superior negotiation skills, excellent communication and organizational practices. Effective time management and self-motivation are essential for the candidate’s success in this role. Aries Chemical manufactures and supplies water treatment chemical, equipment and chemical process aids to industrial, municipal and institutional customers from its Beaver Falls facility as well as multiple regional warehousing locations.
Essential Functions
- Negotiates and procures raw materials, packaging and supplies for manufacturing and distribution as cost effectively as possible.
- Communicates with internal and external customers as to materials inventory, logistics and timing expectations to satisfy demand.
- Supports Sales group through quoting process with materials, freight and lead time estimates for all products and equipment as needed.
- Assists in all raw material and supplier quality and freight complaints.
- Assists the Equipment division with customer service, quoting, logistics support, specialized delivery needs, spare parts ordering, etc.
- Manage regulatory and compliance documentation, communication and processes, including reporting activities to government entities local, state and federal as required.
Position Type
This is a full-time position.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Degree in business related discipline related to this position.
- Purchasing experience in manufacturing and distribution environment.
- Logistics coordination experience.
